while i would never have thought of bringing a out a Bloodbowl game (of all the things), it really does look promising.

This is a computer version of Blood Bowl, Warhammer board game style of thing.
There was a game called Chaos League a few years back, and there've been a fair few brutal sports type games over the years, Speedball etc.

So I got a key off a site selling just the keys, picked up in asia for cheap, £15 is a good deal for this.
Spending many hours playing it atm, though it makes me want to kill sometimes, when the dice roll bad. There's nothing quite like the feeling of pulling off a spectacular play, getting a touchdown in the first turn or maiming a star player.

Playing Chaos mainly, their greatest strength is being able to do this to weak opponents :

If it's not obvious, a skull is a dead player, a red + is an injured player (can't play for at least the rest of this match) and the three on the right are KO, can only come back at the next kick off.

11 players on the pitch per side, with a max of 5 subs on the bench, the only opponents left at this point are a couple of useless trolls I can't kill and one very very lucky goblin.
