How to create a WOL Parse |
|
When your current / old guild doesn't use WoL logs, you can easily make one yourself.
Create a WoL account
Go to World of Logs and register there.
Record a raid
-Type the following command in game: /combatlog
-Have this addon record all raids you join automaticly.
When u did either of the 2 above options, join a raid and it will record.
Upload your parse
-Go to World of Logs, login, click at the top right on Client.
-Open the file.
-It will start the program, and you get 3 buttons, click the middle one, Open the wow log.
-It will give a loading screen, and once it's done, select the upload button.
-It will then open your browser with the parse in it. Copy the link, and paste it into your application.
Common problems
-Nothing happens when you click the Open the Wow log button.
Try to select the file manually, choosing the first button, Open a file
The combatlog file will typicly be stored on the following location:
Non windows 7: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Logs\WoWCombatLog
Windows 7: Computer\Local Disc C\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Logs\WoWCombatLog
-You get an error saying the file is too long
You can either open the combatlog manually in a text editor and remove all the lines with a different date then the one your trying to upload.
Or you can go delete your combatlog, and make a new one in a new raid.
-Nothing happens when you click on Client on the worldoflog site.
Make sure you have Java installed.
-"I'm not in a guild, how can I upload a log?"
If you log in and you're not registered to a guild, you have the option of creating your own. You'll then automatically become the leader of that WoL guild which should allow you to upload your own logs.
