Promising strategy released---Supreme commander--- |
|
I guess u all saw screens of, what looks to be hundreds and hundreds of units on the map...Yes it is Supreme commander, and it is released (torrented) today..
On the other hand this game could be big dissapointment if the playing factor sucks..
Also dunno what machine is recommended to run this, but guessing from wast number of units it needs fast CPU and GPU

Tried it and its really a great game. In my opnion far better then C&C 3. But only setback is that you
need a really good system to play it.
I played it on:
Intel Pentium 4 Presscot 4.3 Ghz
2Gb Kingston@533Mhz
7600GT twice in SLI
Against one opponent the game runs smooth until you have more then 150 units on you screen.
Major bottleneck is my proc, if you want to play it smooth take atleast a Core 2 Duo or a equal AMD proc. (recommend intel is better atm) I guess a 7 series of nivdia will do but atleast one 7600. Under that will be hard. Also a minium of 2Gb is recommend from my view.
If you have that prepare for ultimate chaos wich you need to control

You miss 1GB ram and its a notebook. Problem with most notebooks is that the are a slightly slower then their desktop cousins. Because it has less cache memory. And as I said its a game that asks a heavy system.
PS: You can play this game on 2 screens one screen for your UI and one screen for your map. In both screens you can zoom in and out How is that for a great tactic advantage did anyone say C&C
